Family Campgrounds on Catalina
Information about campgrounds for families and individuals
on Catalina Island in Southern California.
Catalina has five campgrounds for individuals and families. All of them are situated on Catalina Island Conservancy land, and all are operated by the Catalina Island Company. Tent sites are available at all of the campgrounds and two of them also have tent cabins. Campgrounds Near CommunitiesTwo of the island's campgrounds are near Catalina Island's local communities. The Hermit Gulch Campground is within walking distance of the city of Avalon and the Two Harbors Campground is within walking distance of the village of Two Harbors. Both of these campgrounds have both tent sites and tent cabins. Note that Avalon has many shops and restaurants and Two Harbors has very few.

Beachfront CampgroundsTwo of Catalina's campgrounds are situated on or near the beach in more remote parts of the island. The Parson's Landing Camground is on thenorth shore of the island and it can only be accessed by hiking or boating. The Little Harbor campground is on the west shore of the Catalina.

Interior CampgroundsOne of the campgrounds, the Black Jack Campground is in the remote interior of the island, about halfway between Avalon and Two Harbors.
