Bidwal Bar Bridges
Two bridges over a section of
the Norther California reservoir
known as Oroville Lake. The old
Bidwell Bar Bridge was built in 1855
and it is a California Historic landmark.
The new Bidwell Bar Bridge was built
in 1967. The original site of the old
bridge was flooded when the Oroville Dam
across the Feather River created Oroville Lake.
Before the area was flooded preservationists
arranged to have the old bridge moved to
the south side of the lake, where today it
is open to foot traffic.
