Owens River of California
The Owens River Headwaters were designated a
United States Wild and Scenic River on March 30, 2009.
6.3 miles of the river were designated "wild",
6.5 miles were designated "scenic" and
6.2 miles were designated "recreational".
The Owens River is managed by the Inyo National Forest
Office of the U.S. Forest Service.
