Mojave National Preserve
United States national preserve located in the Mojave Desert of San Bernardino County, Southern California. The area was designated a national preserve in October of 1994, when the United States Congress passed the California Desert Protection Act. Natural features in the preserve include the Kelso Dunes, the Marl Mountains, the Cima Dome, and various volcanic formations. Areas within the park incluede the Providence Mountains State Recreation Area and the Mitchell Caverns Natural Preserve.
