Kings River of California
Several sections of the middle fork and the south fork
of California's Kings River were declared United States
National Wild and Scenic Rivers on November 3, 1987.
65.5 miles of the river were designated "wild" and
15.5 miles were designated "recreational". The
Kings River is managed by the Sequoia-Kings Canyon National
Parks Office of the U.S. National Parks Service and the
Sequoia National Forest Office of the U.S. Forest service.
