Death Valley is a depression in the Mojave Desert
that is about 130 miles long and six to fourteen
miles wide. The Badwater basin within Death Valley is 282
feet below sea level, making it the lowest point
in the Western Hemisphere. Death Valley is located in
Southeast California near the California-Nevada border.
