located at 111 West Avenida Palizada a couple
of blocks inland from Highway 5. Shops include
a bakery and a thrift shop and dining spots
include a Chinese and a Mexican restaurant.
Pico Pavilion
Small shopping center located at 415 East Avenida Pico,
a couple of blocks inland from Highway Five.
Shops include a Pier One Imports, Hanson's Health
Food Market, and the Comfortable Sleep and Home
furniture store. Restaurants include
Chronic Tacos,
Plaza San Clemente
Huge outlet shopping mall expected to open in 2015.
To be located on the ocean side of Highway 5 between
Avenida Vista Hermosa and Avenida Pico.
Inland Side of Highway 5
Gateway Village Plaza
Located at 800-806 Avenida Pico on the corner of
Avenida Pico and Avinida Presidio, across the
street from San Clemente High School, a very short
distance inland from Highway Five. The largest shop
in the center is a combination Albertsons Grocery Store and
Sav-On Drug Store (note there is a larger; rtson's
a few blocks up the hill at the Pacific Plaza Shoppiong Center).
Other shops and services include a mailing center, a bank,
and a dentist.
Restaurants include Chipotle Mexican Grill, Smashburger,
Golden Spoon Fronzen Yogurt, Juice It Up.
Los Mares Theater Complex
Includes a six screen Krikorian Theater complex,
several restaurants, a bank, and several shops.
Located on Camino de los Mares, across the street
from the Ocean View Plaza shopping center.
Ocean View Plaza
Located at 638 Camino De Los Mares.
Formerly owned by M & H Property Management,
sold to Watt Family Enterprises in 2000.
A 1999-2000 property renovation included demolishing
a three story section of the shopping center
and replacing it with 25,000 square feet of
single level space.
Pacific Plaza
450,000 square foot shopping center located at 979 Avenida Pico
(between Caminoo Vera Cruz and Avenida La Pata).
Anchors are a 130,000 square foot Lowe's Home Improvement Center,
a 115,000 square foot Wal-Mart, a Michael's Art Store,
and a 58,000 square foot Albertson's Grocery.
Sears Essential Plaza
Located on Camino de Estrella on the west side of the I-5 Freeway.
Former K-Mart/Sears Essentials store is located here
(the K-Mart reopened after the Sears Essentials store closed,
but it - the new k-art - is expected to close soon).
The center's former Alpha Beta Grocery Store is
now a Big Lots.
Talaga Village Center
Located at 801 Via Suerte, in the Talaga residential
community the hills of San Clemente.
