What You Need to Know
The Mount Ada Inn is up a steep hill and about a mile from the shops
and restaurants of the town of Avalon, but use of a golf cart is included

Lunch is available to visitors not staying at the Mt. Ada Inn
on Saturday and Sunday and sometimes on Thursday and Friday.

Wrigley 125th Anniversary Historic Tours
The "Magnificant Mt. Ada" two-hour historic tour offered for a limited
time by the Catalina Island Company
includes walking inside Mt. Ada Inn, the Catalina Country Club,
and the art deco Avalon Theater.
Other historic sites seen opn the tour: The Chicago Cubs
baseball spring training site, the remains of the Avalon Bird Park,
and the Catalina Chimes Tower.

The Inn at Mount Ada that closed on November 30, 2014 was
expected to be reopened by its new operator, the
Catalina Island Company, in early 2015.
2014 August
LA Times "Mt. Ada Inn Looking for New Operator" Article
In 1985, innkeepers Susie Griffin and Marlene McAdams
signed a 30 year lease to manage the property as
a bed and breakfast inn. Negotiations to renew their
lease were ot successful and the property closed
on November 30, 2014. The property owner
(University of Southern California) worked wityh
the Catalina island Conservancy to find a new operator
to manage the inn.
