LOCATION: Imperial Highway and Lemon Drive

Wording on the Historic Site Plaque:
"Pacific Electric Depot - Depot was built by the Pacific Electric Railroad in 1911. Fruit was shipped out by the carload while fertilizer, lumber, machinery and other supplies were delivered here. The first means of public transportation, the "big red car", took townsfolk to Los Angeles nine times a day. As passengers approached, conductor Ben Foss would shout "Yorba Linda, capital of the world!"
