Valley Music Theater (1964-1989)
Dome shaped, in-the-round theater with more than 2,800 seats that was
situated on about 8 acres of land at 20600 Ventura Boulevard in Woodland Hills.
The theater was built in 1963 with financial support provided by Bob Hope,
Art Linkletter, and Cy Wawsrner.
The theater first opened on July 6, 1964,
but by the end of the 1960's it was having financial problems.
Eventually the theater failed and in 1980
the building became a
Jehovah's Witnesses Assembly Hall.
The church sold the building in 2007
The theater was torn down in 1989 to make room for the 350-unit
Boulevard Woodland Hills Apartment Complex.
