One of a series for 12 monument statues sculpted
by August Leimbach and dedicated to the spirit
of pioneer women in the United States. The
monuments were commissioned by the National
Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution
and installed in twelve locations along the
National Old Trails Road, between Cumberland Maryland
and Upland, California.
