Truckee Hotel
Originally known as the American House
and later it was renamed the Whitney House,
the New Whitney House (after it burned down
and was rebuilt), the Hotel Blume, the
Riverside Hotel, and the Alpine Riverside
Hotel (the latter during the 1960 Olympics
at Squaw Valley). The hotel was given its
current name in 1976 and in 1992 it was
extensively renovated.
Today the hotel has 37 guest rooms on four floors.
Eight of the rooms have private bathrooms
with clawfoot bathtubs and the others
share bathrooms located down the hall.
Room rates include a continental breakfast.
