Stampede Reservoir
Located about 25 miles southeast of Sierraville and about 8 miles above the confluence of the Truckee River and the Little Truckee River. Open year-round for recreational activities. Popular site for warm weather fishing and ice fishing. Created by a dam constructed in 1970.

Lake Davis Recreation Area
Located about 28 miles north of Sierraville. Popular venue for camping, picnics, fishing, hunting, boating, mountain biking, swimming, and viewing wildlife. Waterskiing and jetskiing and NOT permitted. Winter activities include ice fishing, snowmobiling, and cross country skiing. Facilities inlcude a boat ramp, tent sites, picnic tables, toilets, drinking water, and a parking sites.
