Parades in Porterville
Christmas Children's Parade
Annual Christmas theme holiday parade presented jointly
by the Porterille Rotary Club, the City of Porterville,
and the Porterville Chamber of Commerce. The route is
along Main Street from Norton south to Olive and there
are usually two announcer stands, one in front of City hall
and the other in front of the Chamber of Commerce office.
The 2016 Porterille Children's Christmas Parade was
held on December 1, 2016.
Veterans Day Parade of Porterville
Annual Porterville parade honoring military veterans
that was held for the 97th time on November 11, 2017.
The route typically begins at the corner of Main Street
and Morton Avenue and proceeds to the corner of
Main Street and Walnut Avenue. The Porterville Band-O-Rama
is held at the conclusion of the parade. (see "Music Events" below).

Band-O-Rama of Porterville
Annual event held after the Porterville Veteran's Day parade.
The Band-a-Rama was started more than 30 years ago
by former Porterville Panther Band director Buck Shaffer,
and features local marching bands in one mass performance.
The 2017 event was held at Rankin Stadium at
Granite Hills High School, 1701 East Putnam Avenue.
