Historic Sites in Placentia
George Key Ranch Historic Park
County park centered around the
oldest standing house in Placentia, built in 1898 by George Key.
The site features the home itself, a one acre orange grove
and a 3/4 acre garden, all on 2.2 acres of land.
The home built in 1898 and remodeled in 1908.
The site gives visitors a view of life in the early
days of California citrus farming. Listed on
the National Register of Historic Places.

The George Key Ranch Home is located at 625 West Bastanchury Road.
Note that the house was damaged during the La Habra earthquake
in March of 2014 and at that time it was closed to the public
until damages were assessed and repairs could be made.
Bradford Historic Home
Queen Anne Victorian style home with 15 rooms on two floors and
a full basement. The home was built by Placentia founder Albert S. Bradford in 1902
on his Tesoro Rancho and in 1973 his descendeants gave the hhouse and
the surrounding 1.5 acres to the city of Placentia.
Public tours of the home are available and they are usually scheduled
on one day each month. Located at 136 Palm Circle in Placentia.
Ontiveros Adobe Site
In 1841, Juan Pacifico Ontiveros, owner of Rancho SAn Juan Cajon de
Santa Ana, built an adobe on this site, but the adobe is no longer standing.
Near the corner of Crowther Avenue and Porter Way.
Water Tower of Placentia
- 117 feet tall
- City voted to make tower a historic landmark in 1991
- Water company cleaned and painted tower in 1996
- At that time lights were installed and a gate was added
- dedicated as a historic site on October 4, 1997
- Owned by the Southern California Water Company
- No water stored in its 50,000 gallon tank since 1993
- Has red, white, abnd blue shield image
- Has words "Placentia all American City"

Memorial honoring Placentia residents who served in the armed forces,
including military personnel who were raised, educated, or entered
into the service in Placentia. Each year names are addeed to the monument
during the city's Veteran's Day Observance Ceremony.
The monument is located on the grounds of the Placentia Civic Center.
