"Little Saigon" is a name given to Vietnamese ethnic enclaves outside of Vietname, and one of the largest such communities is located in two Orange County, California cities, Garden Grove and Westminister, where nearly 200,000 Vietnamese Americans live.

Orange County's Little Saigon is located about 45 miles south of the city of Los Angeles in the northern section of Orange County. First Businesses in Little SaigonVietnamese pharmacist Danh Quach immigrated to the United States in 1975 after the end of the Vietnam War. He graduated from pharmacy school in 1977 and he opened a pharmacy and general store on Bolsa Avenue in Westminster in 1978. He later opened other businesses, including a large freight forwarding business and real estate ventures. Vietnamese businessman Frank Jao also immigrated to the United States in 1975 after the end of the Vietnam War. He studied real estate at Coastline Community College in Westminster and later founded Bridgecreek Development, one of the largest developers of Orange County's Little Saigon district. His companies ventures incude the Asian Garden Mall on Bolsa Avenue in Westminister. He was appointed to serve as head of the Vietnam Education Foundation in 2005 by then president George W. Bush, an organization estabished to improve relations between the United States and Vietnam. The Le-Jao Center at Coastline Community College named after Frank Jao and the Lee's Sandwiches chain owner Chieu Le in recognition of their donations to the school.
