Boreal Mountain Ski Resort
Ski area situated west of Truckee with about 380 skiable acres,
a base elevation of 7,200 feet, and a
top elevation of 7,700 feet. The area's
annual snow fall is typically about 400 inches.
Boreal Mountain Hosted the
U.S. Snowboarding Grand Prix in 2009.
The resort has a terrain snowboarding park, a
snow play and tubing area, and more then 40 ski runs,
the longest of which extends for about a mile.
Lifts include two quad lifts,
three triple lifts, one double left, and two moving carpet lifts.

Soda Springs Ski Resorts
Ski resort established in 1931 that is a popular skiing area
for families and beginners. Has 16 trails, two ski lifts,
two moving carpets, and one tubing carpet.
Located just off Highway 80 near the Donner Summit
at 10244 Soda Springs Road in Nevada County town of Soda Springs.
