Los Alamitos Race on the Base
Annual race held on the runways of the Joint Forces
Training Base in Los Alamitos. The event features helicopters, planes
and military vehicles with music throughout the course.
Competitions include running events, skating events,
and a reverse triathlon consisting of a 5 kilometer run,
a 12 mile bike ride and a 200 meter pool swim.
Orange County Tap Festival
The Inaugural Orange County Tap Festival was held at
Impact Dance Centerin July of 2017.
The event featured three days of tap dancing workshops
taught by master tap dancers from many different parts
of the United States a tap jam, a cutting contest, tap history
presentations, and a grand finale concert with performances
by master tap dancers and tap ensembles.
Spring Carnival of Los Alamitos
Annual community festival and Easter celebration held at Little Cottonwood Park.
The event features easter egg hunts, carnival games, family activities,
and food booths, and pictures with Peter Rabbit.
4th of July Fireworks Spectacula
U.S. Independence Day eventing aerial fireworks show held at
the Los Alamitos Joint Forces Training Base.
Winter Wonderland at the Plaza
Annual Christmas holiday celebration usually held in early December.
Includes a tree lighting ceremony, and activities that have included
a snow play area, Santa's Village, refreshments, and live entertainment.
Held at St. Isadore Historical Plaza.
Halloween Trunk or Treat
Los Alamitos 50th Anniversary
A special event celebrating the 50th anniversary of
the city of Los Alamitos will take place in Janaury
of 2011.
