The City Council of lake Forst approved a new development called Portola Center on November 5, 2013. The developemnt is located at the intersection of Saddleback Road and Glenn Ranch Road. Portola Center is about 195 acres in size and plans include building 613 single family homes, 317 multiple family units, 10,000 square feet of commercial space, a five acre public park, 3 private neighborhood parks, trails with exercise stations, and about 44 acres of open space, including a 1.5 mile perimeter trail.
