Remembering Santa's Village San Bernardino
This Christmas themed amusement park was located in
the San Bernardino Mountains, a few miles from lake Arrowhead
in the community of Sky Forest.
It first opened on Memorial Day in 1955,
a few weeks before the first Disneyland
Park opened in Anaheim, California, and it had
been operating for more then 40 years when it closed in
the late 1990's.
The park was taken over by the Henck family
(J. Putnam Henck and Pamela Wright Henck)
in 1978 when the original owners went
bankrupt.
During its usiest time it had mroe then 80,000
visitors per year.
The site was purchased
by the Wildhaven rehabilitation enter for

the late 1990's.
