Kings River
North-sound river flowing through the central Valley of California that passes through both Kings County and Fresno County. The source of the river is in the Kings Canyon National park area and it terminates at the lakebed of the former Tulare Lake. It passes a few miles west of the Kings County cities of Hanford and Lemore.

Fresno Slough
Distributary of the Kings River that connects the North Fork of the Kings River to the San Joaquin River. The Mendota Dam, the Delta-Mendota Canal, and the Mendota Pool aresituated at the confluence of the Fresno Slough with the San Joaquin River.

Garza Creek
Creek flowing northeast through the Kreyenhagen Hills. Also known as "El Arroyo de las Garza"(Creek of the Herons). Its sources is on the north slope of Zwant Peak in the Diablo Mountain Range and it terminates on the Kettleman Plain, about 3.6 miles northwest of the city of Avenal.
