Nueva School
Private school for students from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade that was founded in 1967 by Karen Stone McCown. The lower school and middle schools are located on the hillsborough campus and the high school (upper school) is located in the school's San Mateo campus. The Hillsborough campus is situated inside the W. H. Crocker Skyfarm Mansion that was purchased and donated to the school by W. Clement Stone. The Hillsborugh campus is located at 6565 Skyline Boulevard in Hillsborough and the Bay Meadows Campus is located at 131 East 28th Avenue in San Mateo.

Crystal Springs Uplands School
Private middle school and high school for students in grades 6 through 12. Located at 400 Uplands Drive in Hillsborough.

The Bridge School
Private school for students with severe speech and physical impairments. Located at 545 Eucalyptus AVenue in Hillsborugh.
