DESCRIPTION:
Gothic revival home built in 1861 by Samuel Martin using a crew
of German and Chinese immigrant workers. The was expanded
in 1929 by Martin's grandson to add a solarium, a west wing,
and a carriage house.

YEAR BUILT: 1856

LOCATION: 4221 Suisun Valley Road, Fairfield
DESCRIPTION:
Built in 1856 and 1857 by Methodist Episcopal Church South pioneers
on a site provided by Lan dy and Sarah Alford
using donated funds and volunteer labor. The chapel had deteriorated
by 1929 and the church deeded it to the Rockville Public Cemetery
District as a pioneer monument. It was restored in 1940.
