About the Chico Municipal Airport
The Chico Municipal Airport is a 1,475 acre general aviation airport
situated at an elevation of about
70 meet above sea level. The airport has a helipad and two runways,
one about 6,720 feet by 150 feet and the other about 3,000 feet
by 60 feet. The helipad is about 64 feet square.
The Chico Airport is the home of the Chico Air Museum and Northgate Aviation, a company providing aircraft fuel and maintenance, flight training, and charter flights. In the 1940's the airport was leased by the Army and known as the Chico Army Airfield. The Chico Municipal Airport is located about five miles north of the city of Chico at 150 Airpark Boulevard.
