About the Wrigley Memorial
An introduction and general information about
Wrigley Memorial on Catalina Island in Southern California.
ATTRACTION: Wrigley Memorial
The Wrigley Memorial is a 130 foot high tower within a botanical garden. It was built using mostly local materials. The tower is a momorial to William Wrigley Jr. (1861–1932), who bought most of Catalina Island in 1919. When he died on January 26, 1932, at age 70, he was interred in the tower. His remains were removed from the site at some point, but his original grave marker is still on the tower.
