Sports field along Avalon Canyon Road between historic Avalon Bird Park and the Avalon Canyon Nature Center. Adjacent to the south end of the Catalina Island Golf Course and across the road from Los Angeles County Fire Station #55.

The Santa Catalina Island Company donated the Joe Machado Softball Field and Avalon Canyon Road to the City of Avalon in 1993.
