About the Banning House
An introduction and general information about the
Banning House on Catalina Island in Southern California.
NAME: Banning House
Historic home situated on a hill overlooking the Isthmus Harbor of Catalina Island. Built as a summer home of the Banning Brothers, the former owners of Catalina Island. During World War II it was used as quarters for U.S. Coast Guard offiers, in the 1950's it was a private girls' camp. In past years it was also used as a hunting lodge and as housing for workers in the village of Two Harbors.
