DESCRIPTION: Astronomy night tour guided by amateur astronomer Kathleen Hill Carlisle, one of the hosts of the Old Turner Inn Bed and Breakfast on Catalina Avenue. The Astronomy tour Experience features viewing the night sky through a telescope and educational information about the history of astronomy, night sky constellations, the moon, planets, the solar system, and the galaxy. The tour begins at the company's office in Avalon. A taxi transports guests to the viewing spot at Buena Vista Point. Participants must be 8 years of age or older. The minimum tour size is four people and the maximum size is 15 people. Note that the tour can only take place when the skies are clear at night.
