Capitola is located on the coast of the Pacific Ocean, in Santa Cruz County, about 35 miles southwest of San Jose and about a two hour drive from San Francisco. It is bordered by Santa Cruz in the west, Aptos in the East, Soquel in the north, and the Pacific Ocean in the south. Capitola can be accessed by car from California Highway One, also known as the Cabrillo Highway.
