Information about parks on and near the shore of Lake Oroville.
Lake Oroville State Recreation Area
California state recreation area more than 29,000 acres in size
that is centered around Lake Oroville. The recreation area
was established in 1967 and in addition to the lake it inclucdes
the Diversion Pool and Thermalito Forebay areas downstream
of the Oroville Dam.
A visitor center in the park has exhibits and a 47 foot
observation tower overlooking Lake Oroville and the Oroville Dam.
Activities in the park include
fishing, hiking, horseback riding, picnics,
power boating, sailing, swimming, waterskiing,
and both boat-in and drive-in camping.
