Santa Barbara Island in California

Santa Barbara is the smallest of the eight main Channel Islands. it is the home of a sea lion rookery and seabird nesting colonies, including one of the largest breeding colonies of the Xantus Murrelet seabird. Santa Barbara Island is about 24 miles from Santa Catalina Island, 38 miles from the port and harbor community of San Pedro, and about 54 miles from the city of Ventura.
