APPLE VALLEY INN (1948-1964)
Former hotel and restaurant built in Apple Valley in 1948
to help developer Newton T. Bass attract wealthy land buyers
to the Southern California desert town.
First opened on Thanksgiving Day, in November of 1948.
The inn was known for attracting celebrities between the 1940's and 1960's.
ROY ROGERS APPLE VALLEY INN (1965-1987)
Roy Rogers and Dale Evans leased the inn and restaurant
in 1965 and renamed it the Roy Rogers Apple Valley inn.
At that time the inn featured the Roy Rodgers Riding Stables
and offered an Outdoor Steak Fry, haywagon rides, and horseback riding
The inn closed to the public in 1987.
APPLE VALLEY INN BUSINESS AND EVENT CENTER (since 2003)
THE inn was bought by the Lakritz Partnership in November of 2003
