Turtle Rock Park County Campground
Seasonal county campground situated at an elevation
of about 6,100 feet above sea level. Usually open
from May through early October, depending on the length of the snow season.
Facilities include twenty-six recreational vehicle sites,
twelve tent sites, a day use picnic area, flush toilets,
a coin operated shower, a tennis court, disc golf course, and
a horseshoe pit. Note that the campground has several water faucets
but no hook-ups and no dump station. When wildfire conditions are high
fire are not allowed, and cooking must be done on propane powered
devices only. The Turtle Rock Park campground is located near Markleeville
at 17300 State Route 89, about 32 miles west of Carson City Nevada.
